Position: Senior Audio Visual Systems Technician

Senior Audio Visual Systems Technician
Responsibilities
· Install, integrate, program, commission and deliver audio, visual systems.
· Work with Project Manager to oversee the installation of multiple sites.
· Work with Control System Programmer to integrate all A/V functionalities in the system.
· Participate in project startup with Systems Designers and the Control System Programmer to ensure complete system compliance.
· Communicate with Project Manager regarding onsite problems with assigned projects.
· Coordinate the on-site delivery of materials, tools and equipment, as required.
· Act as liaison between the customer and the Project Manager
· Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
· Plan, organize and implement strategies successfully in order to complete a project by a specific deadline.
· Promote a team work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
· Diploma in Electronics from a recognized institution or equivalent AV industry experience.
· Minimum of five (5) years experience in A/V installation, integration and commissioning.
· Mechanical abilities and advanced knowledge of commercial building construction practices.
· Superior knowledge of audio and video signals, computer interfacing and networking.
· Ability to operate the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter and Impedance Meter.
· Extensive knowledge of the use and functionality of commercial Audio and Video equipment.
· Experience with programming control systems such as: AMX/Crestron.
· Experience with programming DSP systems such as: Biamp, MediaMatrix and Polycom.
· Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics as well as read and interpret general business documentation.
· Knowledge and experience in the use of AutoCAD and/or ORCAD design/drafting software.
· Infocomm CTS/NSCA EST Certifications an asset.
· Possess a valid driver’s license; some out of town travel required.
