Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities
Main role:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for creating and managing the overall plans for major projects, including budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements, in accordance with Company standards, policies, systems and procedures.
Details of function:
Create, monitor and report progress and/or changes against the plan.
Drive the project implementation plan by motivating and directing the project team.
Oversee project management, technology, design & engineering functions
Act as primary interface with the client and manage all customer service activities
Identify and communicate new business opportunities.
Develop project strategies around risk mitigation, change, scope and procurement management
Initiate and influence the implementation of policies and procedures that will enhance the process in a productive and profitable manner.
Assist in the development of operations budget.
Provide guidance, leadership and training to the technical team members.
Qualifications and Skills
BS Degree in Telecommunication, electrical or equivalent, PMP Certification is an asset.
10+ years of project management experience including a minimum of 5 years in Information & Communications Technology (ICT) environments.
Possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent written & oral communication skills, both in French and in English.
Computer literate (MS Office)
Ability to read and interpret wiring, architectural diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
Excellent organizational, leadership and time management skills.
Available to work weekends, evenings and travel on occasion and on short notice.
