Installation News
Whether you’re planning to revamp the AV in your boardroom or design the communications technology system for your entire corporate infrastructure, AVW-TELAV keeps you in the know about what’s most current and most capable in the world of permanent installation and systems design and integration news.
AVW-TELAV Joins the Global Presence Alliance
AVW-TELAV has built its business for 50 years by providing comprehensive presentation and communication solutions for its customers. The meaning of "comprehensive," however, has changed drastically over the years. A boardroom with a stand-alone control system was considered advanced 10 years ago; now it is commonplace. Putting any element of AV onto a corporate network was a rarity even five years ago; now it is typical.
Requirements for uniformity in AV design, integration, and operational support are no different. Supported by technology advances to allow such, organizational approaches to AV have gone from local facility alignment, expanded to regional/national approaches, and now often to a desire for global consistency. In keeping pace with this evolution, it became important for us to identify how we might address this, not only considering how to fulfill existing customer needs, but creating a whole new realm of AV solutions for AVW-TELAV to offer to the market.
Built upon principles of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts, the Global Presence Alliance (GPA) provides the combined customer base of each of its member's opportunities that previously were extremely difficult to achieve, certainly without a significant effort on each organization's behalf to do so.
The GPA was formed to meet the growing demand of global organizations for audio visual and videoconferencing technology to reduce costs, improve efficiency and enhance communication. Through the collaborative efforts of its member companies, the Alliance provides a streamlined, consistent approach to the deployment of audio visual and videoconferencing technology on a global basis. Consisting of a framework of industry expertise, the Alliance is committed to sharing best practices to guarantee a quality customer experience, regardless of location. The Alliance provides a sole-source solutions approach to global audio and video systems integration by providing global pricing support and greater simplicity through a consolidated service operation.
By providing the customer with a single entity to understand, implement, and manage its needs enterprise-wide, this management onus is removed.
Membership of the alliance is not only important to AVW-TELAV from the growth and service offering opportunities it provides, but also for AVW-TELAV's ongoing commitment to quality and best practices. In order for the GPA to offer a consistent end product to the end customer, the need to develop consistency between its members is important. Membership of the alliance brings AVW-TELAV the ability and, indeed the mandate, to share and discuss operational practices with some of the industry's leading integrators across the world. Acceptance by the GPA's founding members is both recognition of AVW-TELAV's leadership position, in this regard, in the Canadian market already, as well as an opportunity to enhance these practices further.
In a matter of months, AVW-TELAV in its role in supporting Canadian GPA projects has undertaken work for three leading global corporations—BP, Microsoft, and Rubbermaid—already proving the value of the alliance for AVW-TELAV, its GPA partners, and the customers themselves.
Inquiries regarding the Global Presence Alliance should be directed to Stuart Weinman, Director of Sales.
